Mumbai – Flair Writing Industries Limited (BSE: 544030, NSE: FLAIR), one of India’s leading writing instruments companies and the country’s largest pen brand, has expanded its manufacturing operations by commencing production of wooden pencils. The new production facility has been set up at its step-down subsidiary, Flomaxe Stationery Private Limited, located in Surat.
The move marks a strategic expansion of Flair’s Creative portfolio, enabling the company to deepen its presence in the largest segment of the stationery market. By introducing wooden pencil manufacturing, Flair aims to strengthen its product range and offer high-quality pencils across multiple price segments, thereby widening its reach in the stationery industry.
The newly installed production line is expected to have an annual manufacturing capacity of approximately 84 million pieces. In addition to wooden pencils, the facility will also focus on producing complementary stationery items such as erasers and sharpeners.
These new products will add to Flair’s existing offerings in polymer pencils and mechanical pencils, allowing the company to build a comprehensive portfolio catering to the broader pencil and allied stationery segment.
With this expansion, Flair Writing Industries seeks to reinforce its position in the stationery market by providing a wider selection of products while maintaining its focus on quality and scale in manufacturing.
