Maharashtra has secured investment commitments worth Rs 4,080 crore through two new agreements signed in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a move expected to generate around 4,750 direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state.

The Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed at the Chief Minister’s official residence, Varsha, between the Maharashtra government and Jabil, and separately with RSA Global.

According to an official statement, the projects are expected to strengthen Maharashtra’s position in electronics manufacturing, logistics, exports, and advanced industrial infrastructure.

Fadnavis said the investments would provide a significant boost to industrial growth while creating high-skilled employment opportunities across key sectors.

Under the first agreement, Jabil will expand its Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) operations in Pune through an investment of Rs 1,500 crore.

The project will focus on manufacturing 5G equipment and artificial intelligence-based networking switchgear and is expected to create approximately 4,000 direct jobs.

Jabil has been operating in Maharashtra for 23 years and currently employs more than 10,000 people in the state.

According to the government, the company’s new manufacturing facility is scheduled to commence operations on June 17, 2026.

The second agreement involves RSA Logistics and Transportation Pvt. Ltd., which will develop an Ultra Mega Logistics Park within the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) region at Uran in Raigad district.

The project will be developed on a 25-hectare site with a proposed investment of Rs 2,580 crore.

The logistics park is expected to generate around 750 direct and indirect jobs.

Planned facilities include container stacking yards, container washing and cleaning units, repair facilities, and infrastructure for the handling and storage of empty containers.

The Maharashtra government said the projects will contribute to strengthening the state’s logistics ecosystem and export capabilities while supporting future industrial expansion.

Fadnavis also assured investors and businesses of continued government support for industrial development and expansion across Maharashtra.
