EaseMyTrip continued to expand beyond its traditional flight-booking business in the first quarter of FY27, with strong growth across hotels, holidays, international travel and technology-led services.
The online travel-tech company reported a 14.8% year-on-year increase in Gross Booking Revenue (GBR) to Rs 2,371 crore in Q1 FY27, while Revenue from Operations rose 18.4% to Rs 134.7 crore.
The company said the performance reflected continued momentum across its key growth segments and progress on its Vision 2030 roadmap, which focuses on international expansion, AI-led innovation and diversification beyond core travel bookings.
Dubai Operations Deliver 45.2% Growth
Despite a challenging operating environment across the Middle East, EaseMyTrip’s Dubai operations continued to perform strongly. The company’s Gross Booking Revenue from Dubai increased 45.2% year-on-year to Rs 461.8 crore during Q1 FY27.
EaseMyTrip said Dubai continues to serve as a strategic international hub as the company seeks to capture rising cross-border travel demand and expand its international presence.
Nishant Pitti, Chairman and Founder of EaseMyTrip, said the company’s international operations were becoming an increasingly important contributor to growth.
Hotel Bookings Nearly Double
The Hotels and Holidays business remained another major growth driver during the quarter. Hotel room-night bookings increased from 3.31 lakh to 6.47 lakh, representing a 95.4% year-on-year increase. The company averaged approximately 7,000 room nights booked per day during the quarter.
Pitti said the strong performance across hotels and holidays reflected growing customer engagement beyond traditional flight bookings.
EaseMyTrip is expanding its travel ecosystem across Hotels, Holidays, Visa Services, Airport Services, Duty Free and Experiences, with the objective of capturing a larger share of the overall travel journey.
Agentic AI Becomes a Key Growth Focus
Technology and artificial intelligence are increasingly becoming central to EaseMyTrip’s growth strategy. The company is advancing its Agentic AI capabilities to make travel experiences more intelligent, proactive and personalised.
One of the initiatives is ReSave, which is designed to monitor a customer’s booked flight itinerary and identify genuine savings opportunities if a lower fare becomes available after the booking.
The system is being developed to assess the actual net saving after considering factors such as cancellation and change fees, fare-rule differences, baggage costs, seat charges and other applicable expenses.
EaseMyTrip is also expanding EVA, its AI-powered virtual travel assistant. The company said it has become the first listed Indian travel company to integrate with the ChatGPT Marketplace, as part of its broader strategy to make travel discovery and planning more conversational and personalised.
Pitti said the company is investing in AI capabilities that extend beyond the initial booking experience.
Domestic Tourism Remains the Core Market
Domestic travel continues to account for the majority of EaseMyTrip’s business. The company said India recorded more than 4.2 billion domestic tourist visits in 2025, supporting its strategy of strengthening its integrated domestic travel ecosystem.
EaseMyTrip noted that younger and experience-led travellers are increasingly moving away from a traditional once-a-year holiday model towards shorter, more frequent and independently planned trips.
The company is seeing double-digit growth in categories such as solo travel, adventure travel and experiential tourism. Women account for around 40-42% of travel bookings, while approximately 75% of EaseMyTrip’s business continues to come from domestic tourism.
To cater to changing travel preferences, the company has expanded category-specific offerings including Solo Tour Packages, Adventure Tour Packages, EasyEloped for romantic getaways and EasyDarshan for domestic and spiritual travel.
Partnerships Support Expansion
EaseMyTrip also continued to strengthen its diversification strategy through partnerships spanning tourism, technology, international expansion, skilling and institutional travel.
Key initiatives during the period included a partnership with the Government of Jharkhand for digital tourism promotion, expansion into Latin America through strategic corporate partnerships in Brazil, collaborations with NSDC and Sanatan AI, integration with ChatGPT Apps, and initiatives aimed at strengthening its corporate and government travel businesses.
Vision 2030 Focuses on Multiple Growth Engines
EaseMyTrip’s Vision 2030 roadmap remains focused on building multiple sustainable growth engines across technology, international markets and diversified travel services.
The company is continuing to expand across Hotels, Holidays, domestic tourism, Airport Services, Duty Free, Meet & Greet and other emerging travel categories.
Pitti said, “We are also building greater depth across our integrated travel ecosystem, with continued expansion across Hotels, Holidays, domestic tourism, Airport Services, Duty Free, Meet & Greet and other emerging travel categories. These initiatives are creating multiple avenues for customer engagement and strengthening our ability to capture a larger share of the travel journey.”
He added that the company would continue to focus on technology, international expansion and diversification as it builds its long-term travel ecosystem.
With Revenue from Operations up 18.4%, GBR rising 14.8%, hotel room-night bookings increasing 95.4% and Dubai GBR growing 45.2%, EaseMyTrip’s Q1 FY27 performance points to a continued shift towards multiple growth engines beyond its traditional air-ticketing business.
